A Look Back at Our Black History Month Celebration!

The Kollock Hawks Alumni Association hosted a truly memorable Black History Month celebration, filled with joy, inspiration, and community spirit. We were honored to welcome the talented youth praise dancers from Breakthrough Beyond the Walls Church, who graced us with their beautiful performances. Their energy, grace, and heartfelt dancing brought a special touch to the program, leaving everyone in awe.

A highlight of the evening was Dorothy Cobb’s tribute to the legendary Louis Armstrong, capturing the essence of his contributions to music and culture. The event was not only entertaining but also educational—our young attendees received a meaningful lesson in Black history. Dorothy Cobb shared pictures and artifacts, showcasing the remarkable achievements of Black historians, inventors, and trailblazers.

The celebration continued with uplifting music, soulful singing, and wonderful fellowship. Guests enjoyed delicious refreshments, and lucky winners took home exciting door prizes. It was a night of unity, learning, and celebration—a true testament to the rich heritage we honor during Black History Month.
